THE EVENT

One Moorgate Place, also known as Chartered Accountants’ Hall, is headquarters to The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. The venue offers a diverse range of rooms making it ideally suited to hosting the Association of Specialist Underpinning Contractors (ASUC) Annual General Meeting and Awards Lunch.

The morning’s Annual General meeting was held in newly refurbished Auditorium, offering top-of-the-range technical facilities to support the meeting and presentation to members.

The afternoon drinks reception was held in the main reception room, providing a grand entrance for the 140 guests that joined for the afternoons event. The reception room is the focal point of One Moorgate Place with impressive domed glass ceiling and colourful stained-glass windows. Guests had the opportunity to network with other people from the industry as well as enjoying a drinks courtesy of ASUC.

The afternoon events continued with a full three course dinner in the Great Hall, which has recently been refurbished into a modern space with wall draping creating a welcoming atmosphere for the guests. The afternoon entertainment included a hilarious performance from Paul Sinha, better known as the Sinha Man from ITV’s The Chase. Paul helped to conclude the day with the presentations of the ASUC awards, highlighting not only the success of our member companies, but also celebrate best practice in the industry.

Many guests stayed after the awards concluded for after lunch drinks hosted back in the main reception room, to celebrate the success of the member achievements.
