Tewin Bury Farm Hotel in the Hertfordshire countryside provided the perfect venue to host the Subsidence Forum Training Day. The hotels uniquely converted farm buildings presented the perfect base for the unique event which saw delegates venture outside into the grounds to watch live demonstrations by the forum’s member companies.

The practical demonstrations at the event included:

  • Site investigation – trial pits and boreholes
  • CCTV drainage survey and investigation
  • Arboricultural inspection
  • Masonry repairs/strengthening

The day commenced with registration and refreshments in the hotels stunning Tythe barn, during this time delegates had the opportunity to explore the exhibition stands of the forum’s members and network with other delegates. Following a short welcome and introduction by the Subs Forum Chair delegates split into the designation groups ready to rotate around the demonstration areas around the hotel’s grounds. During the day each group of delegates were rotated around each demonstration area to ensure all delegates viewed each demonstration through out the day.

Following the demonstrations delegates returned to the Tythe barn to be greeted with a delicious hot buffet for lunch and another networking opportunity. The event concluded with a summary of the day presented by all leaders of the demonstration areas. This part of the programme offered delegates the opportunity to ask questions to experts from the industry.
