Meet Lauren: Our Dynamic Director!

 In Blog

As AGM’s Director, Lauren heads up the company and has a huge wealth of knowledge. She also focuses on training and implementing different schemes and programs for our clients.

What is your favourite food? Dim sum

Which four individuals, living or dead, would you invite to a dinner party?: Audrey Hepburn, Stephen Fry, Dean Martin and Ryan Reynolds.

What is your favourite film? Anything Disney (apart from aristocats) 🤣

What is your favourite animal? A sloth (I want to be one when I grow up) and I envy how much they sleep!

How long have you been working at AGM? 17 glorious years… how did that happen?!

What does your role typically include? My role as the director is very varied, so I really could be making tea one minute and talking to government the next! We all have a very hands-on approach to working, so I try to make sure I support all members of the team as much as I can, to enable them to do their job to the best of their ability. One area that I do focus on frequently, however, is training. I help our clients to implement different schemes and programs for training within their businesses. I also attend a lot of meetings and site visits with clients which splits my time between the office and also keeps me busy!

Can you tell us what a typical day in the life involves? No two days are the same at AGM, and it all depends which hat I’ve got on at that moment! If I’m putting together a training matrix, I’ll need my training consultant hat or if there are invoices that need to be paid, I’ll need my accountancy hat, for example! The day to day diversity of my job keeps me on my toes and often means I’m swapping my hats over throughout the day.

What is your favourite part of your role? I love our Christmas events… it’s a great way for everyone in the office to enjoy a well-earned treat and enjoy themselves, plus everyone seems a little happier that time of year! I also really enjoy attending our client events which are organised by our very talented Event Manager, Emma. She does a great job and it’s always a fantastic opportunity to network.

What is your best memory of AGM so far? The Christmas dos! (With a couple of exceptions) 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣…. if you’re hadn’t guessed, my favourite time of year is Christmas, what’s not to love?

Where could we find you outside of work? Outside of work I’m kept busy running after (somewhat slowly) a nearly two year old, who keeps me on my toes!
